METAL INLAID INRO WITH BENKEI AND YOSHITSUNE

A three-case circular gold lacquer inro, decorated with a circular panel within silver rims of a fight scene between Benkei and Yoshitsune in armour beside a river in a mountainous setting.  The figures inlaid in gold, shakudo and silver.  The interior of nashiji.  With a lacquer manju netsuke with peony on a nashiji ground and a copper ojime with a nightingale flying amongst plum trees.
