Nagasaki lacquer reading stand with bride and flowers

A Nagasaki lacquer reading stand with a drawer decorated in mother-of-pearl, some shells coloured for effect, with a pair of pheasants amongst flowers, the female in a nest looking after their chicks in nest; a cockerel and a hen and flowers, the support in openwork with a design of overlapping fans.
